After earning a BFA in Communication Arts & Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, Harris founded the photography department at WNET/Thirteen at age 23. His career includes work with GE, IBM, NASA, Paramount, Disney, Amazon Studios, and Warner Bros. He lives in Wilmington, North Carolina.
