Grumbalina is a little fairy living in Pufftown. She doesn’t have many friends at school and doesn’t want to get out of bed in the morning. Her sister, Perfect Polly, has a golden wand and wins a golden star every day! It isn’t fair! Grumbalina misses the bus and meets her next-door neighbor Mitchy. But Mitchy’s magic isn’t working either-he’s got a serious candy addiction! Eating too much sugar can cause a fairy’s magic to stop working. Since they both missed the bus, the two fairies decide to stick together and form a friendship. They end up missing the entire first day of school by mistake. When Grumbalina gets home and sees that Perfect Polly got the golden star at school, she grumbles, “No way! That’s not fair!” Perfect Polly quickly responds, “Well, you’ll never get one if you miss the whole day of school! Where were you all alone?” That’s when Grumbalina realizes that she wasn’t alone-she was with a new friend! Now, everything has changed!

Grumbalina & the Day Everything Changed: Review
Axton Gard
Karina Frederiks is a farm-living, tea-drinking, story-telling word wizard. She grew up on her cloud in Caledon, Ontario, Canada, and was a curious child with an infinite imagination and love for literature. In elementary school, and all the way through university, Her favorite subjects stayed the same: English and naturally, creative writing. She spent her early years floating back and forth from the library, learning all about different fantasy worlds, and dreaming of creating her own someday. Grumbalina and many of her Pufftown pals, are based on Karina’s life-long friends, personal adventures, and experiences. She often draws inspiration from her childhood and years abroad when writing her stories. “Mitchy” and “Chatty Chad” are two fairies that she met while competing in horse shows on the other side of the sky - in Europe.
